log(3x) = log(2x-4)

taking antilog of both sides:

3x = 2x - 4

3x - 2x = -4                    [subtracting 2x from both sides]

x = -4

and we're done already!

Find the solution of the given initial value problem. ty' + 6y = t2 − t + 1, y(1) = 1 6 , t > 0
gtnhenbr [62]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given is a differential equation as

ty' + 6y = t^2 - t + 1, y(1) = 1 6 , t > 0

Divide this by t to get in linear form

y'+6y/t = t-1+1/t

This is of the form

y' +p(t) y = Q(t)

where p(t) = 1/te^(\int 1/tdt) = t

So solution would be

yt = \int t^2-t+1 dt\\= t^3/3-t^2/2+t+C

siubstitute y(1) = 16

16 = 16^3/3-128+1+C\\C = -1206

Name the geometric term(s) modeled by each object
anyanavicka [17]

A line is a one-dimensional shape that is straight, has no thickness, and extends in both directions indefinitely. The geometric term(s) modeled by each object are Hexagon, point, line, line, and plane, respectively.

What is a line?

A line is a one-dimensional shape that is straight, has no thickness, and extends in both directions indefinitely. A line segment is also a line but the line with finite length and having fixed endpoints.

The geometric term(s) modeled by each object

9. Stop sign ⇒ Hexagon

10. Tip of pin ⇒ Point

11. Strings of a violin ⇒ Line

12. A car antenna ⇒ Line

13. A library card ⇒ Plane

Hence, The geometric term(s) modeled by each object are Hexagon, point, line, line, and plane, respectively.

A bike is bought for $1200 and sold 10 months later for $940.
Stolb23 [73]

Value

Depreciation is defined as the reduction in value of an asset over time. In this case, value reduction is due to wear and tear of an equipment (bicycle).

a. The depreciation value would simply be the difference in initial and salvage value divided by time in years.

Depreciation = (Initial value – Salvage value) / Number of years

b. Substituting the given values into the equation where:

Initial value = $1200

Salvage value = $940

Number of years = 10 months = 10/12 years

Calculating:

Depreciation = ($1200 - $940) / (10/12 years)

Depreciation = $312 / year

or

Depreciation = $26 / month
