If Elijah has half a bag of candy and 1 whole bag weighs 5 pounds.
Part A answer- 2.5
Work: 5 divided by 2 which is just 2.5 which is your answer
Part B answer - 12.5
Work- 2 bags = 10 pounds (5x2=10)
We already know half a bag is 2.5 so just add 10+2.5= 12.5

1. Formula: b * h ÷ 2

12 * 3 = 36 ÷ 2 = 18 in^2

2. Formula: b * h ÷ 2

5 * 8 = 40 ÷ 2 = 20 ft^2
