They are both part of the nervous system but the brain is housed inside the skull and it controls most of the activities of the body. In higher organisms such as humans and other vertebrates, it is the centre of learning. Then the spinal cord is a tube-like structure that begins from the end of the brain and ends at the bottom of the backbone. The spinal cord is made up of nerves that carry information between the brain and the rest of the body.

A sample of seawater weighs 250 g and has a volume of 173 ml. What is the density of seawater?
kari74 [83]

Answer:

The answer is 1.45 g/mL

Explanation:

The density of a substance can be found by using the formula

density = \frac{mass}{volume} \\

From the question

mass of seawater = 250 g

volume = 173 mL

It's density is

density = \frac{250}{173} \\ = 1.4450867052...

We have the final answer as

1.45 g/mL

Hope this helps you

In the alkane series of hydrocarbons, as the number of carbon atoms decreases, the normal boiling point ofthe compounds
noname [10]
The relationship between the number of carbon atoms and boiling point is inversely proportional. In the alkane series of hydrocarbons, as the number of carbon atoms decreases, the normal boiling point of the compounds decreases. The reason behind this is that longer chains of molecules require more energy to separate the bonds while shorter chains or molecules with lower number of carbon atoms require less energy to break away from each other. Thus, low carbon molecules have lower boiling point.

A detailed description please...
Fittoniya [83]

Answer:

The diagram on the right. It has increments of 0.1 of a unit and therefore will provide a more precise measurement. The diagram on the right measures 88.4. In terms of the diagram on the left, a decimal answer cannot be determined because the increments are too large. Therefore the diagram on the left is less precise.
