Answer:

3.276 kg

Explanation:

By definition:

Density of solution =  mass of solution / volume of solution

mass of solution = density of solution * volume of solution

Density of solution: 1.30 g/ml = 1.30 kg/l

mass of the solution = 1.3 * 6.00 = 7.8 kg

By definition:

percent by mass = (mass of solute / mass of solution) *100

mass of solute = (percent by mass/100) * mass of solution

mass of solute = 42/100 * 7.8 = 3.276 kg

NaOH
Na=23
O=16
H=1
SO,NaOH=23+16+1
NaOH=40g/mol
42% of 40=42/100x40
oxygen is the compound
density=mass/volume
1.30=mass/6
mass=7.8g

Answer:

D. Protons ; neutrons.

Explanation:

For a given element the number of protons is fixed, but the number of neutrons differ because the element usually consist of a number of isotopes.

For example Carbon has isotopes which contain 12, 13 and 14 neutrons.

So that is why you average the number of neutrons to find the approximate atomic mass..

A solution of 34% nacl is separated by a semipermeable membrane to a solution of 22% glucose. the membrane is only permeable to
Katyanochek1 [597]
The net osmosis will occur in the direction of the NaCl solution. This is because the solute concentration on that side is greater than that of the glucose solution. Osmosis is the process by which liquids move through semi permeable membrane from the region of lower concentration to the region of higher concentration.
Thus the water is going to move from the glucose solution into the NaCl solution.<span />

What is the mass of 3.01x1023 atoms of iron(atomic mass of fe=56)
nlexa [21]

Answer:

N = n× l

N = number of entities

n= moles

l = Avogadro's constant = 6.023 × 10^23

3.01 × 10^ 23 = n * 6.023 × 10^23

n = 3.01 × 10^23/6.023 × 10^23

n= 0.5moles

Molar mass = mass/ number of moles

Molar mass = 56

mass = 56 × 0.5

= 28g

Hope this helps.
