Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Given coordinates of the rectangle ABCD:</u>

  • A(0, 0), B(a, 0), C(x, y), D(0, b)

Lets first find coordinates of C

We can see that A and B are on same line horizontally, so C and D will be on the parallel line

The distance AB and CD are equal also distance AD and BC are equal, therefore

  • AB = a - 0 = a, CD = a
  • AD = b - 0 = b, BC = b

<u>So the coordinates of C are:</u>

  • x = a, y = b

<u>Now the diagonals:</u>

  • AC = √(a-0)² + (b-0)² = √a²+b²
  • BD =√(0-a)² + (b -0)² = √a² + b²

Since AC = BD, we can state they are congruent

Express 120 as a product of its prime factors.
raketka [301]
By the Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic, all number can be expressed as a product of prime numbers.

So naturally, lets divide 120 by an easy prime number.
We know that 120 is even, so lets try 2 120/2 = 60 lets keep dividing it by two until it becomes odd or prime 60/2 = 30 30/2 = 15 now lets see, what are some factors of 15?

Well the obvious ones are 3 and 5, both of which are prime. So now we can just count up how many times we divided it by 2

120/2 = 60 60/2 = 30 30/2 = 15 and 15 is just 3 x 5, so: <span>
120=(<span>23</span>)×(3)×(5)</span>
or <span><span>
120 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 5</span></span>

Given that 1/f = 1/u + 1/v , express u in terms of v and f
JulijaS [17]

Answer:

u = fv/(v - f)

Step-by-step explanation:

1/f = 1/u + 1/v

1/u = 1/f - 1/v = v/fv - f/fv = (v-f)/fv

1/u = (v-f)/fv

u = fv/(v - f)
