When Mei does 17 push-ups and 6 sit-ups, it takes a total of 35 seconds. In comparison, she needs 41 seconds to do 20 push-ups a
Romashka [77]

Answer:

It takes 1 seconds for push-ups and 3 seconds for sit-ups for Mei to do exercise.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Let the time taken for push-ups be 'x'.

Let the time taken for sit-ups be 'y'.

Now Given:

17 push-ups and 6 sit-ups, it takes a total of 35 seconds.

So we can say that;

17x+6y=35 \ \ \ \ equation \ 1

Also Given:

41 seconds to do 20 push-ups and 7 sit-ups.

so we can say that;

20x+7y=41 \ \ \ \ equation \ 2

Now Multiplying equation 1 by 7 we get;

7(17x+6y)=35\times7\\\\119x+42y= 245 \ \ \ \ equation \ 3

Now Multiplying equation 2 by 6 we get;

6(20x+7y)=41\times6\\\\120x+42y = 246 \ \ \ \ equation\ 4

Now Subtracting equation 3 from equation 4 we get;

120x+42y-(119x+42y)=246-245\\\\120x+42y-119x-42y=1\\\\x=1\ sec

Now substituting the value of x in equation 1 we get;

17x+6y=35\\\\17\times1+6y=35\\\\17+6y=35\\\\6y=35-17\\\\6y= 18\\\\y=\frac{18}6 = 3\ seconds

Hence It takes 1 seconds for push-ups and 3 seconds for sit-ups for Mei to do exercise.

If the measure of an acute angle is represented by x, then the measure of its complement
Luba_88 [7]

Answer:

always true

Step-by-step explanation:

complement equals that angle plus another one adds to 90. If you know that it's less than 90 degrees, then you subtract it from 90 to get the other angle which is the complement. Hope this helps!

Hey! Please find the value of x, so I can find the value of angle H! Thanks
o-na [289]
Hey there! :D

The congruence marks on the trapezoid make the angles congruent. This makes opposite angles supplementary. (Because all the angles in a trapezoid add up to 360 degrees)

12x-31+6x-5= 180

18x-36= 180

Add 36 to both sides.

18x= 216

Divide both sides by 18.

x= 12

You can just plug that in to find m<H.

6x-5

6(12)-5

72-5

m<H= 67

I hope this helps!

24 students in a class took an algebra test <br><br> If 18 students passed what percent passed
Anuta_ua [19.1K]

Answer: 75%

We know that 1/4 of 24 (25%) is 6, 6 fits into 18 three times and 25 times 3 is 75. So the answer is 75%
