The tremor cracked a total of 290 miles of the Earth's surface along the San Andreas Fault, from northwest of San Juan Bautista to the triple junction at Cape Mendocino.
Geographers identified five major types of climates. They are: tropical, warm middle latitude, cold middle latitude, dry and polar climates. Climate refers to the weather condition that prevails in an area over a long period of time.
