Help with number 19??
schepotkina [342]
We have to choose two points of this graph:
A(5,0)
B(0,-4)
And we have to compute the slope:
Given two points A(x₁,y₁) and B(x₂,y₂) the slope between these points would be:
m= slope
m=(y₂-y₁)/(x₂-x₁)

In this case:
m=(-4-0)/(0-5)=-4/(-5)=4/5

Answer: the slope would be 4/5 and all of these answer would be wrong.

The curve y=ax2+bx+c passes through (2,5) (3,12) and (-1,-4).find the equation of the curve
TiliK225 [7]

Explanation:

You want to first to substitute to form 3 equations.

5=4a+2b+c

12=9a+3b+c

-4=a-b+c

Now solve with whatever way you fell comfortable, I'm going to use elimination.

First eliminate c

7=5a+b

16=8a+4b --> 4=2a+b

Then I'll eliminate b,

3=3a

a=1

Now solve for b and c

7=5+b

b=2

1-2+c=-4

c=-3

Now for the equation:

y=x^2+2b-3

Hope this helps!

If you "ate a ton" of Quater Pounders and they weighed exactly a quarter pound each, how many would you have eaten? ( 1 ton= 2,0
horrorfan [7]
You would have to do 2,000*4 Because there are 4 per pound. You would have to eat 8,000 to have eaten a actual ton of them. XD Nice question btw.

6 1/4 - 2 3/4 = ?

please help lol
sergeinik [125]

Answer:

3 1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

Rewriting our equation with parts separated

=6+1/4−2−3/4=6+1/4−2−3/4

Solving the whole number parts

6−2=4/6−2=4

Solving the fraction parts

1/4−3/4=−2/4 1/4−3/4=−2/4

Reducing the fraction part, 2/4,

−2/4=−1/2−2/4=−1/2

Combining the whole and fraction parts

4−1/2=3 1/2
