Which statement accurately describes
nalin [4]

Answer:

The correct answer is "Temperature is a measure of the average kinetic energy of the molecules in a substance".

Explanation:

The kinetic energy of a substance is defined as the power that results from the movement of its particles. In this sense, temperature could be defined as a measure of the average kinetic energy of the molecules in a substance. Actually, temperature expressed in Kelvin degrees is directly proportional to the average of the kinetic energy. On the other hand, heat is defined as the total energy in a substance.

Radiation is spontaneously emitted from hydrogen-3 nuclei, but radiation is not spontaneously emitted from hydrogen-l nuclei or
miv72 [106K]

Answer : Option 1) nuclei of H^{1} and nuclei of H^{2} only.

Explanation : Radiation is spontaneously emitted from nuclei of H^{3} because this isotope of hydrogen is highly radioactive as compared to other isotopes of hydrogen namely; nuclei of H^{1} and nuclei of H^{2}.

They have much stable nucleus as compared to nuclei of H^{3}.

The more it is unstable the more radiations will be emitted from its nucleus.

Which of the following is the composition of an isotope of calcium (atomic number 20)?
ivolga24 [154]

20 protons

20 electrons ( as much elctrons as protons because there has to be same positive and negative to have a neutral atom)

And the number of neutrons depends of the mass number but in that case, I think that it's a Calcium atom (Ca) and so there are 20 netrons.
