First of all, I'd suggest that you use a new, clean, blank line for every bit of new information.

-1/4 divided by 3/2 = -4/1 times 3/2     Do NOT insert another " = " sign here, but move on to a new line.

"<span>-1/4 divided by 3/2 = -4/1 times 3/2 =-12/2 = -6"

You are dividing -1/4 by 3/2.  To do this, invert 3/2 and then multiply:

-1       2
---- * ---- = -1/6
 4        3

Notice how I have only ONE " = " sign here.</span>

mars1129 [50]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

Call the first person A who can do the job in 5 hours.

Call the second person B who can do the job in 7 hours.

The formula for this problem is

Time = A*B/(A + B)

Time = 5*7 / (5 + 7)

Time = 35 / 12

Time = 2 hours and 11/12 of an hour.

The answer is D.

please HELP MEEEEEE .A store owner wants to make a candy that sells for $1 per pound.he has 50 lb of sugar candies that cost $1.
serious [3.7K]

Answer:

50 pounds

Step-by-step explanation:

we can use the equation           60+80/100x=1(x+50)

we get 80/100 x because the gummy candies are 80 cents or 80/100x

we get 60 from multiplying 1.20$ x 50 = 60

                                                    solve:

                        60+80/100x  =  x+50

                           60 = x-80/100x+50

                             60-50 = 20/100x

                              10 = 20/100x

                               x= 10 x 100/20 = 10x5= 50 pounds
