Rewrite the slope intercept equation of the line y = 2x + 5 in standard form. A) 2x - y = -5 B) 2x + y = 5 C) -2x - y = -5 D) 2x
Alina [70]

Answer: OPTION A.

Step-by-step explanation:

The Standard form of the Equation of a line is the following:

Ax + By = C

Where "A", "B" and "C" are integers (A>0)

Given the equation of the line in Slope-Intercept form:

y = 2x + 5

You can follow these steps is order to rewrite it in Standard form:

1. Subtract 5 from both sides of the equation:

y-(5) = 2x + 5-(5)\\\\y-5=2x

2. Subtract "y" from both sides of the equation:

y-5-(y)=2x-(y)\\\\-5=2x-y

Therefore, the equation of the given line in Standard form is:

2x-y=-5

If the nth term of a number sequence is n²+ 2n, find the first 3 terms and the 10th term.
kondor19780726 [428]

Answer:

300

Step-by-step explanation:

the nth term of a sequence is 3n^2 (where n only is squared), then the 10th term of the sequence is; 3 x (10)^2= 3 x 100 = 300.

Can someone please help me with this problem?
GenaCL600 [577]
You need to know and have memorized metric unit conversions. They are easy, you just need to know how many zeros to add.

1 cm = 10 mm
1 m = 1000 mm
1 m = 100 cm
1 km = 1000 m

 (1.) 4m + 3cm = 400cm + 3cm = 403cm
(2.) 3km + 8m = 3000m + 8m = 3008m
(3.) 7cm + 9mm = 70mm + 9mm = 79mm
(4.) 1m + 5cm = 100cm + 5cm = 105cm
(5.) 5km + 5m = 5000m + 5m = 5005m

Do you see that to switch 5km to smaller unit meters you just add the zeros on to the end. Because 1km = 1000m ; 5km = 5000m

You try the rest. let me know if you have any questions.
