No answer is possible using only the information given in the question.
In addition to the angle of depression, we need either one of these:
-- the length of the tree's shadow on the ground
-- the slant distance direct from the tip of the shadow to the top of the tree.

I'm going out on a limb and guessing that on the page, next to that much of the
question, was a picture of the tree, with one of these additional items labeled.
There's an important reason why the publisher decided to go to the effort and
expense of printing the picture right there. I leave you to ponder the reason.

PLEASE HELP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |r+3| ≥7 solve the inequality (please show work and steps )
alexdok [17]
|r+3| = (r+3) when r ≥ -3 so for r ≥ -3
                        r + 3 ≥ 7
                               r ≥ 4
|r+3| = -(r+3) when r < -3 so for r < -3
                     -(r + 3) ≥ 7
                         r + 3 ≤ -7
                               r ≤ -10
The answer to this question is r ≤ -10, r ≥ 4

Harry Potter has a large amount of money in his vault at Gringotts. He wants to use some of it to buy his friends new broomstick
lianna [129]

Answer:

Domain is 8 to 15 broomsticks

Range is 1,200 to 2,250 Galleons

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, when we talk of the domain, we are simply referring to the range of values of the number of broomsticks to be bought which is between 8 and 15

When we talk of the range, we are talking of the amount these broomsticks will cost

The cost for 8 broomsticks will be 8 * 150 = 1,200 Galleons

15 broomsticks will cost 15 * 150 = 2,250 Galleons

The range here will thus be 1,200 Galleons to 2,250 Galleons

Use the substitution method to solve the system of equations. choose the correct ordered pair. 2x - y = 103x - 2y = 8
crimeas [40]
2x-y=10\Rightarrow 2x-10=y \\
\Longrightarrow 3x-2y=8\Rightarrow 3x-2(2x-10)=8 \\
3x-4x+20=8 \\ -x=8-20=-12 \\ x=12 \\ \\ y=2(12)-10=24-10 \\ y=14 \\ \\ (x,y)=(12,14)
