I think the answer would be to tell her friends how much she likes being on the team because then they can know that it's something she likes to do and hopefully they'll respect that and not make fun of her.

In women this is marked by menopause. While you can still theoretically maintain a healthy body at this time, it becomes increasingly difficult. Maintaining a healthy diet and constant exercise are essential to achieving this. A doctor won't tell you much more than this.
