Answer:

1. 20%

2. 0.37

3. 60%

4. 8 out of 10

5. \frac{5}{6}

Step-by-step explanation:

Percentages are just dividing by 100 because all percentages must equal up to 100 such, as 50% and 50% (50+50=100) or 60% and 40% (60+40=100)

So divide the percentage ( basically just the number not, the %) by 100. 20(%)÷ 100 = 0.2 (take out the % when you do it). 60 ÷ 100 = 0.6

8 out of 10 is 8 ÷ 10 (0.8) if. it was 10 out of 8. it would look like \frac{10}{8}   which you can divide and get 1.2 because the line above the 8 means divide.

and \frac{5}{6} is what i just explained above ↑ divide 5 and 6, which is .83 (it is .8333333333 to infinity and beyond, but I just said 3 because dont  have that line)

now that you have everything in decimals. Sort them!

0.2 (20%)

0.6(60%)

0.37

0.8 (8 out of 10)

5/6 (0.83)

(↑ not the right answer the one in the answer box is.)

The university police department must write, on average, five tickets per day to keep department revenues at budgeted levels. Su
katrin [286]

Answer:

3.566%

Step-by-step explanation:

The probability formula for a poisson distribution is:

P( k )=\frac{\lambda^{k}e^{-\lambda}}{k!} \\

λ is the average of events

e is the euler's number

k is the number of events you want to know the probability

For this :

λ = 8.9 (on average the number of tickets is 8.9 per day)

k = 4 (you need to find the probability that exactly 4 tickets are written per day)

P( k=4 )=\frac{8.9^{4}e^{-8.9}}{4!}=0,03566 =3.566\%

Consider a triangle with two sides that
AURORKA [14]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  C)  14 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

A triangle solver can quickly show you the third side is 14 cm.

__

The law of cosines can be used for this purpose. If the given sides are 'a' and 'b', and the third side is 'c', then that law tells you ...

  c² = a² +b² -2ab·cos(C)

  c² = 7² +11² -2·7·11·cos(100°) ≈ 196.74

  c ≈ √196.74 ≈ 14.03

The length of the third side is about 14 cm.
