So for this, you will be dividing 9.3/3.1 and 10^34/10^17 separately.

Starting with 9.3/3.1, that equals 3

Now with 10^34/10^17, remember that the rule with dividing exponents with the same base is that you are just subtracting the exponents. In this case: 10^(34 - 17) = 10^17

Now we put the two quantities together, and your answer will be 3 x 10^17, or the second option.

Hi there!

We could use elimination to find the y-coordinate of those two equations.

First multiply the first equation by 2, so that we could get rid of x.

2 (5x + 2y = 7)
10x + 4y = 14

Then multiply the second equation by 5.
5 ( -2x + 6y = 9)
-10x + 30y = 45

Add the two equations.

          10x + 4y = 14
+      - 10x + 30y = 45
------------------------------
                    34y = 59
                        y = 1.74

The y-coordinate is 1.74.
Hope this helped! :)
