Nepal is an Asian country which receives an ample amount of rainfall every year. However, it still has a problem regarding its water supply and sanitation. This problem is mainly due to how the government handles such issues. Over the last years, the number of people having access to water supply has greatly increased to 87% of the population. Though the gap between the rich people and the poor people have narrowed a bit in terms of toilet facilities, they still have a gap when it comes to accessibility to tap water (piped-water). This creates an unjust situation where the rich only have a greater access to better toilet facilities than the poor. Thus, it is very significant for the government to follow a holistic approach when it comes to managing water supply and sanitation in the country.
