Answer:

The apple's velocity when it's thrown is 12.25 m/s

Explanation:

Vertical Launch Upwards

In a vertical launch upwards, an object is launched vertically up without taking into consideration any kind of friction with the air.

If vo is the initial speed and g is the acceleration of gravity, the time it needs to reach the maximum height is:

\displaystyle t=\frac{v_o}{g}

Once it reaches the maximum height, the object takes the same time to go back to the launch point.

The apple thrown by Joe Average takes 2.5 s to complete the whole flight, thus the time it went up is t=2.5/2=1.25 seconds.

From the equation above, we solve for vo:

v_o=gt= 9.8*1.25

v_o=12.25\ m/s

The apple's velocity when it's thrown is 12.25 m/s

An insulated beaker with negligible mass contains liquid water with a mass of 0.285 kg and a temperature of 75.2 ∘C How much ice
GrogVix [38]

Answer:

Explanation:

We shall apply the theory of

heat lost = heat gained .

heat lost by water = mass x specific heat x temperature diff

= .285 x 4190 x ( 75.2 - 32 ) = 51587.28 J

heat gained by ice to attain temperature of zero

= m x 2100 x 22.8 = 47880 m

heat gained by ice in melting = latent heat x mass

= 334000m

heat gained by water at zero to become warm at 32 degree

= m x 4190 x 32 = 134080 m

Total heat gained = 515960 m

So

515960 m = 51587.28

m = .1 kg

= 100 gm

A block with a mass of 33.0 kg is pushed with a horizontal force of 150 N. The block moves at a constant speed across a level, r
lord [1]

The work done is given by 742.5 J while the coefficient of kinetic friction between the block and the surface is 0.46.

What is the work done?

The work done is given by the use of the formula;

W = F * x

Where;

F = force applied

x = distance covered

W = 150 N * 4.95 m = 742.5 J

Now;

The coefficient of kinetic friction is given by;

μ = F/mg

μ = 150/ 33 * 9.8

μ = 0.46

Suppose the first coil of wire illustrated in the simulation is wound around the iron core 7 times. Suppose the second coil is w
SVETLANKA909090 [29]

Answer:

Emf induced in the coli will be equal to 26 volt

Explanation:

We have given number of turns N = 13

It is given that magnetic flux changes from 2.1 Weber to 2.7 Weber in 0.3 sec

Change in flux d\Phi =2.7-2.1=0.6Weber

Change in time dt = 0.3 sec

We have to find the induced emf

Induced emf is equal to e=N\frac{d\Phi }{dt}=13\times \frac{0.6}{0.3}=26volt

So emf induced in the coil will be equal to 6 volt
