What type of isomerism is shown by alkanes
Luda [366]

Answer:

Alkanes with more than 3 carbons can show constitutional isomerism. They can be either linear or branched structures. This is categorized as chain isomerism. need help is due tommorow about glacier.the question is this how might this affect the earth contients?
mestny [16]
Well the glaciers can melt and add more water to the oceans/seas and some animals that live in the North Pole will have no where to go...EXAMPLE: polar bears ,penguins, walruses, etc use the glaciers. Polar bears jump onto them to get to land or if they are fighting a walrus they have more fighting ground on land than in the water, etc. (There's a lot more info I just don't know if it's the correct info but what I'm telling you right now is 90% true lol.) also some of the land land can sink like islands or peninsulas(I think)

The combustion of palmitic acid is represented by the chemical equation: C16H32O2(s) + 23O2(g) → 16 CO2(g) + 16 H2O(l) The magni
solniwko [45]

Answer:

The correct option is C

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

The reaction is

C_{16}H_{32}O_2(g) + 23O_2(g) \to 16 CO_2(g) + 16 H_2O(l)

Generally \Delta  H  =  \Delta  U + \Delta N*  RT

Here \Delta H is the change in enthalpy

\Delta U is the change in the internal energy

              \Delta N  is the difference between that number of moles of product and the number of moles of reactant

Looking at the reaction we can discover that the elements that was consumed and the element that was formed is O_2 and  CO_2 and this are both gases so the change would occur in the number of moles

So

\Delta  H  =  \Delta  U + [16 -23]*  RT

\Delta  H  =  \Delta  U -7RT

The  negative sign in the equation tell us that the enthalpy\Delta_r H would be less than the Internal energy \Delta_r U

Water flows over Niagara Falls at the average rate of 2,400,000 kg/s, and the average height of the falls is about 50 m. Knowing
Zinaida [17]

Answer:

1) The power of Niagara Falls is 1.176 × 10⁹ W

2) The number of 15 W LED light bulbs it could power is 78.4 × 10⁶ light bulbs

Explanation:

1) The Niagara falls water mass flow rate = 2,400,000 kg/s

The height of the fall = 50 meters

The gravitational potential energy = Mass (kg) × height (m) × gravity (9.8 m/s²)

The power = The energy converted per second = Mass flow rate (kg/s) × height (m) × gravity (9.8 m/s²)

Therefore;

The power of Niagara Falls= 2,400,000 kg/s × 50 m ×9.8 m/s²= 1.176 × 10⁹ W

The power of Niagara Falls = 1.176 × 10⁹ W

2) The number, n, of 15 W LED light bulbs it could power is given by the relation;

n × 15 W = 1.176 × 10⁹ W

∴ n = 1.176 × 10⁹ W/(15 W) = 78.4 × 10⁶ light bulbs

The number of 15 W LED light bulbs it could power = 78.4 × 10⁶ light bulbs.
