The foreign policy of the US after the Monroe Doctrine speech can be seen as a policy of isolationism.
In this speech, President Monroe makes 4 important points about international relationships.
1) The US will stay neutral/isolated from European affairs.
2) The US would not interfere with European colonies in the Western Hemisphere.
3) European countries would no longer be able to establish new colonies in the Western Hemisphere.
4) Any attempt by a European country to interfere in the Western Hemisphere would be seen as an act of aggression. If this happened, the US would respond swiftly and definitely.
Based on these four points, you can see that the US is going towards a policy of not getting involved in the affairs of other countries.
