The trade routes that connected the cities of Kraków and Kyiv were the overland routes.

These routes were used to develop trade between many regions. Many goods were traded by merchants in the medieval times of the Middle Ages. Many products such as precious metals, fine silk from China, and agriculture products passed from Kyiv to Kraków, with important trade centers such as Zhitomir, Lutsk, and Lviv. This increase in trade represented an important activity in Euroasia and the surrounding regions, creating prosperity and growth in different parts.
