Answer:

28 yards

Step-by-step explanation:

We can use pythagorean theorem to solve this problem; pythagorean theorem is denoted by the formula a^2 + b^2 = c^2. We already have b, as 21 yd and c, as the hypotenuse is 35 yd. We can plug these values into the formula:

a^2 + 21^2 = 35^2

a^2 + 441 = 1225

a^2 = 784

a = 28 yards

Answer:

its 28

Step-by-step explanation:

C is the longest side which is 35 ye and b is 21 yd. Then you would subtract 21^2 from 35^2 and you would get 784. Then find the square root of 784 and you would get 28 as the answer! Good luck and have a great day or night!

What is the value of the x variable in the solution to the following system of equations?
satela [25.4K]
Let's use the addition/subtraction method.

Suppose we wish to eliminate variable x.

Mult the first eqn by 5:  10x - 15y = 15
Mult the 2nd eqn by -2: -10x+ 4y  = -8

Add these two equations together:  -11y = 7, and y = -7/11.

Subst. -7/11 for y in either given equation and find x.

Then your solution is (x,y)   (subst. the values we've found for x and y).

If 48 feet are represented by 12 inches on a scale drawing, then a scale of 1/4 inch represents how many feet? a. 3 foot c. 2 fo
alukav5142 [94]
Hello there!

Math is hard! So we as students, we need to play the smart game with Math in order to find the easiest way to solve the problems. What do I mean? Well as you can see they gave us Fraction which won't be easy! So we will transform the fractions into decimals. So let's get started.

Then a scale of 1/4. Transformed into decimal = Then a scale of 0.25
So instead of using the fraction 1/4, I used its decimal 0.25

So if:

48 feet ......> 12 inches
x feet ........> 0.25 inches

Cross multiply

12 * x = 0.25 * 48

12x = 12
Divide both sides by 12
12x/12 = 12/12

x = 1

The correct answer is option D, 1 foot

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any question.

Thanks!

Concert the angle 0=14r/9 radians to degrees
Mila [183]

Answer:

  θ = 280°

Step-by-step explanation:

We assume your intended equation is ...

  θ = 14π/9 . . . . radians

π radians is 180°, so we can simply put 180° where π is in your equation.

  θ = 14(180°)/9

  θ = 280°
