African Americans are almost ____________ times as likely to be poor as the rest of the population. They have a life expectancy
Phoenix [80]

Answer:

African Americans are almost 2.5  times as likely to be poor as the rest of the population. They have a life expectancy about 5 years shorter than whites.

Explanation:

As we know, the slavery implemented during colonial America brought several problems to the black population, which can be seen today in our society.

Historically, the African American population has been deprived of a full education that would provide them with better qualities of life. Allowing this population to have good economic conditions and to take care of their health in general.

Although some things have changed, the African American population remains at a disadvantage compared to the Caucasian population. The historical context of African Americans and prejudice has resulted in a situation where African Americans are almost 2.5 times more likely to be poor than the rest of the population. They have a life expectancy about 5 years shorter than whites, since the African American population is expected to be 75 years old, while that of the white population is 79.

It has a pros and cons, it has fewer laws that people can go crazy and do whatever they want. But it also allows people to have more freedom. So again it is a more personal opinion

Which theoretical stage of human development did not exist as a defined life stage until the twentieth century?
rosijanka [135]

Answer:

Jean Piaget developed his cognitive -developmental theory based on the idea that children actively construct knowledge as they explore and manipulate the world around them.

The four stages of Piaget’s theory of cognitive development correspond with the age of the child; they include the sensorimotor , preoperational, concrete operational, and formal operational stages.

The sensorimotor stage occurs from birth to age 2 and is characterized by the idea that infants ” think ” by manipulating the world around them.

The preoperational stage occurs from age 2 to age 7 and is characterized by the idea that children use symbols to represent their discoveries.

The concrete operational stage occurs from age 7 to age 11 and is characterized by the idea that children’s reasoning becomes focused and logical.

The formal operational stage occurs from age 11 to adulthood and is characterized by the idea that children develop the ability to think in abstract ways.
