It depends on the class and the instructor. In a smaller class, it’s possible that they let you have more time. But in large lectures the professor won’t wait for you. For the most part, they have recordings of the lectures, as well as the lecture notes online, so you can look at the notes before and after the lecture to study/look at things you might have missed.
