The creators perspective was probably against the African Americans. That’s why he made this image to prove his point that African Americans were terrible and make people believe what he does. He made the African Americans look bad in this image because of his own opinions on them

Having neighbors gave the pioneers help if there was a situation that couldn't be handled alone. Neighbors could help each other with workd that needed to be done. Much of the time the nearest town was 50-100 (or more) miles away. When you had neighbors you had friends. You had someone that could ride for help when you couldn't go yourself
