I cannot find a "lavender current"? Did you possibly mean Labrador Current? If so, here's your answer: The Labrador current starts south of Greenland and moves along side the North East edge of North America until it meets the Gulf Current, which is a few hundred miles south of Newfoundland. Sometimes the Labrador current goes as far south as Bermuda or as far east as the Azores.
