Melanies blue notebook cover is 20 centimeters by 30 centimeters. She has a sticker for each letter in her name. Each sticker is
gizmo_the_mogwai [7]
Find the surface area of her notebook.

30 + 30 + 20 + 20 = 100

Now find the surface area of the square stickers.

2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 8

So this is the surface area of one square, now multiply it by 8.

8 * 7 = 56

This is the surface area of all the stickers, now subtract it to the surface area of the notebook:

100 - 56 = 44

So 44 centimeters of the notebook cover will still be showing.

Mr. Smith estimates that
OLEGan [10]

Answer:

B. 7.5 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

Assuming that both hoses fill at the same rate, then by simple proportion,

To raise the pool by 1 foot of water:

1 hose ---> takes 3 hours

2 hoses ----> fills twice as fast ---> will take half the time ---> 3/2 = 1.5 hrs

Hence with 2 hoses, it will take 1.5 hours to fill 1 foot of water.

to fill 5 feet of water, we will need 1.5 hours x 5 feet = 7.5 hours
