Yes he can, because when the area of the top of the box is divided by 3/4, you get a whole number, meaning there would be no tile pieces left over, which means that he could cover the top. SEE PICTURE FOR WORK.

Tim scored 35, 38, and 36 points on three tests. How many points should he get on the fourth test to get an average score of 40?
My name is Ann [436]
I think 51 because if you were to do it reverse then it would be 40x4=160 then -35-36-38 it would be 51.

If l || m, classify the marked angle pair and give their relationship, then solve for X.
pickupchik [31]
Alternate exterior angles(AEA).
Given their relationship the angles are congruent.
8x-71=5x+7
3x-71=7
3x=78
X=26

What is the expression in factored form? 4x^2+11x+6

Show work please!!
Irina18 [472]
To solve this I'm going to split the middle term.
First multiply the first and last terms:
24x^2
So find two numbers that multiply to 24x^2 and add to 11x.
This would be 3x and 8x
Rewrite the problem as
4x^2+3x+8x+6
Take the first and 3rd and 2nd and 4th terms
4x^2 and 8x
and
3x and 6
Factor by grouping
Take out a 4x for the first group to get 4x(x+2)
Take out a 3 for the 2nd group to get 3(x+2)
Rewrite as (4x+3)(x+2)
Hope this helps.
