In 1948, President Truman signed Executive Orders 9980 and 9981, ending segregation and discrimination in federal government and in the military.
Executive Order 9980 began by saying, "T</span>he principles on which our Government is based require a policy of fair employment throughout the Federal <span>establishment, without discrimination because of race, color, religion, or national origin."</span><span>
Executive Order 9981 stated: "T</span><span>here shall be equality of treatment and opportunity for all persons in the armed forces without regard to race, color, religion, or national origin." </span>
The United States took the following actions following the rejection of the Treaty of Versailles.
As option "A" mentions it. It adopted an isolationist policy regarding foreign nations. Senator William Borah stated that if the United States were to sign the treaty it would have "forfeited and surrendered, once and for all, the great policy of no entangling alliances upon which the strength of the Republic had been founded for one hundred fifty years".
It also adopted the action in option "F", which was joining the newly established League of Nations.
Maybe its because they fear what technology can do to the world. Maybe loosing their job to a machine or worried that a "certain idea would spread over the world and it would have a negative impact on that person and others." Or maybe it's because certain Americans don't believe in innovation or technology and they feared a progression in it. All depends on the American.
