Let x equals to the time can chris unload the ship’s cargo

2x equals to the time can julissa unload the ship’s cargo

The can be solve by establishing an equation that they can do the job in 6 hours

(1/x) + (1/2x) =1/ 6

X = 9 hrs can chris do the job alone

2x = 18 hrs can julissa do the job alone

Critical Thinking If a vertex of a square moved from (11, 9) to (6, 4), which of the following describes the translation? C 5 ri
Reptile [31]
The answer would be B, 5 left, 5 down. The reason behind this is that x coordinates increase as you move to the right and decrease as you move to the left. The same is true with y coordinates and up and down respectively.

So if the vertex moved from x=11 to x=6, then the x coordinate decreased, so it moved to the left by 5 (11 - 6 = 5).

Also if the vertex moved from y=9 to y=4, then the y coordinate also decreased, so it moved downward by 5 (9 - 4<span> = 5).</span>

What are the relative frequencies, to the nearest hundredth, of the rows of the two-way table?
sveta [45]

Answer:       A                 B

Group 1     0.25          0.75

Group 2    0.44          0.56

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Number of people of A in group 1 = 15

Number of people of B in group 1 = 45

Total number of people in group 1 is given by

15+45=60

Relative frequency of people of A in Group 1 is given by

\frac{15}{60}=0.25

Relative frequency of people of B in Group 1 is given by

\frac{45}{60}=0.75

Similarly, Number of people of A in group 2 = 20

Number of people of B in group 2 = 25

Total number of people in group 2 is given by

20+25=45

Relative frequency of people of A in Group 2 is given by

\frac{20}{45}=0.44

Relative frequency of people of B in Group 2 is given by

\frac{25}{45}=0.56

Hence,        A                 B

Group 1     0.25          0.75

Group 2    0.44          0.56

I conducted a poll and asked 1012 students how many books they read last year. The data indicates x = 12.1 books and s = 16.6 bo
Paul [167]

Answer:

(11.242 ; 12.958)

Step-by-step explanation:

The confidence interval is obtained using the relation :

C. I = xbar ± Zcritical * s/√n

Given that ::

xbar = 12.1 ;

Standard deviation, s = 16.6

n = 1012

C. I = 12.1 ± 1.645 * (16.6/√1012)

C.I = 12.1 ± 0.8583881

C. I = 11.242 ; 12.958
