We calculate the number of moles of water given its mass by dividing the mass by the molar mass.

                              n water = (36.04 g) / (18 g/mol)

                               n water = 2 mols

From the given balanced equation, every 6 moles of water produced will require 7 moles of oxygen.

                               n oxygen = (2 mols H2O) x (7 moles O2 / 6 moles H2O)

                               n oxygen  = 2.33 mols O2

Name the three carbon compound converted during respiration? How is it converted to products in absence, presence, and lack of o
ValentinkaMS [17]

The answer is pyruvate. In the absence of oxygen in anaerobic respiration, the pyruvate is converted to lactic acid in animals and ethanol in plants. However, in the presence of oxygen, the pyruvate enters the Krebs cycle after being converted to Acetyl CoA. Pyruvate is an intermediate product of glycolysis.

Describe the role. of the liver in regulating the concentration of glucose in the body
leva [86]

Answer:

The liver stores glucose to power the cells during periods of low blood sugar. Skipping meals and poor nutrition can lower blood sugar. By storing glucose, the liver makes sure that blood glucose levels remain steady between meals and during sleep. When blood glucose falls, cells in the pancreas secrete glucagon.

What are the five main phases of the cell cycle? What are the main events in each?
saveliy_v [14]

Answer:

In the adult organism, mitosis plays a role in cell replacement, wound healing and tumour formation. Mitosis, although a continuous process, is conventionally divided into five stages: prophase, prometaphase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase.

Cell cycle has different stages called G1, S, G2, and M. G1 is the stage where the cell is preparing to divide. To do this, it then moves into the S phase where the cell copies all the DNA.
