Answer:

the frequency of the wave is 2 hertz

Explanation:

Frequency is defined as the number of cycle of waves that occur in one second.

Here the total number of cycle is equal to 10

The total time in which these 10 cycles occur is equal to 5 seconds

Now, mathematically frequency is equal to

where is equal to number of cycles

and t is time

Putting the given values in above equation we get -

hertzs

Nutka1998 [239]

Answer:

1. D. Only DNA contains genetic information

2. D. Nitrogen and Phosphorus

Explanation:

1. Lipids are insoluble in water unlike other molecules. It stores energy within the fat tissues and cushion internal organs against trauma.

Carbohydrates are sugar units such as monosaccharides, disaccharides molecules which makes up starch that is fuel to your cells.

DNA is a type of nucleic acid that contains genetic information which influences your personal characteristics.

2. The family Rhopalodiaceae has the ability to perform nitrogen fixation, which allows diatoms to fix atmospheric nitrogen. And phosphorus has been found in some diatom species in the Black sea region which does not affect its reproduction rate and also helps in carbon cycle.

What type of amino acids would you expect to find at the core of a water-soluble globular (solid-spherical) protein
PIT_PIT [208]

Hydrophobic amino acids are buried at the core of a water-soluble globular protein.

What makes globular proteins water soluble?

Numerous hundreds to thousands of amino acids are used to make proteins. The arrangement of amino acids within a protein molecule determines its ultimate form. A protein molecule is classified into two classes—fibrous proteins and globular proteins—based on its final shape.

The structure of globular proteins resembles a ball or a globe. A globular structure is created by the folding of different amino acid chains. The two most significant globular proteins present in the human body are hemoglobin and myoglobin. The hydrophobic side chains of the amino acids are hidden inside the cores of the domains whereas the hydrophilic side chains are located on the surface of the molecule thanks to the arrangement of the amino acids.

The hydrophobic amino acids can be buried in the center of globular proteins due to interactions between the hydrophobic groups in their side chains. This is the fundamental property of globular proteins that makes them water soluble.

Examples of hydrophobic amino acids are phenylalanine, alanine, valine, etc.

Yes, caffeine does provide following benefits to plants:

1) Caffeine provide benefit to the plant in a way by enhancement of pollination process. This occurs by preferential pollination of such flowers whose nectar contain a small quantity of caffeine.

2) Caffeine that is present in leaves and seeds is a way that kills insects thus protecting them from damage.

3) Caffeine increases the learning ability of bees. Bees sucking nectar, having even a low concentration of caffeine showed a long term memory.
