What are the ordered pairs of the

Mathematics
1 answer:
DaniilM [7]3 years ago
6 0

Answer:

(4, 11) is one ordered pair and (-4, 27) is the other ordered pair

Step-by-step explanation:

(1) f(x) = x^2 - 2x + 3 (2) f(x) = -2x + 19

-2x + 19 = x^2 - 2x + 3

x^2 - 16 = 0

(x - 4)(x + 4) = 0

x = 4   or    x = -4                                  -2(4) + 19 = 11

                                                             -2(-4) + 19 = 27

So, when x = 4, y = 11 and when x = -4, y = 27

(4, 11) is one ordered pair and (-4, 27) is the other ordered pair

Which animal traveled at a rate of 1.5 meters per minute?
Fofino [41]

Answer:

The ant

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that the meters traveled is going to be more than the amount of minutes because it is 1.5:1 so that narrows it down to the turtle and the ant.

Now we can just take 150% of each and see if they match up.

150% of 5 is 7.5 so therefore it is not the Turtle which means it must be the ant.

Hope this helped ! !

How to now your timetables by your hands
Ivenika [448]
1
Hold your hands out in front of you with your palms facing up. Each of your ten fingers represent a number. Moving from your left thumb to your right thumb, count out the numbers from one to ten. 2 Point the finger you want to multiply by nine down towards your body. For example, if you want to solve (9x3) you will want to hold down your middle finger on your left hand. The middle finger represents the number three because, if you count your fingers from one to ten beginning with your left thumb, your middle finger is the third finger. 3 Solve the problem by counting fingers to the left and right. First count the fingers to the left of your bent finger - in this case there should be two. Next count the fingers to the right of your bent finger - in this case there should be seven. The first digit of the answer is 2 and the second digit is 7. The answer is 27![1]

A flagpole is 10 feet tall. It’s shadow is 12 feet long how far is it from the top of the flagpole to the end of its shadow?
Genrish500 [490]

Answer:

The shadow is 11 Ft. away from the pole base.

Step-by-step explanation:

I just usually do this trick in situations like these where if x equals 1, and y equals 2, then z is gonna be 3. 2 goes after 1, and 3 goes after 2. This trick can work in other counting-up situations like this, as long as the number go up, and are right next to each other.
