Answer:

"Athletes need additional protein" is a false myth because overconsumption of protein can actually lead to weight gain. Giving the body extra work is not healthy. Vegan or vegetarian athletes can eat beans, nuts, and asian greens for high protein or can take protein in the form of tablets but do not need more than a regular protein intake to be an athlete. The overconsumption of protein can lead to weight gain because protein not only makes muscle but can also make fat. This can lead to obeisity and slow down/ make the activity harder for the person

MrRissso [65]

Answer: a) drive-reduction

Explanation: Homeostasis is basically the body's need to maintain stability necessary for survival despite changes in the world outside. It is the body's unconscious tendency to maintain internal states (temperature, sleep, thirst, hunger) at stable levels.

Drive-reduction theory, which is a major theory of motivation, suggests that when there is an Homeostatic imbalance, needs are created, people perform actions (i.e their behaviour changes) to restore the body's ideal state, because of the need to restore balance.
