Galaxies are classified by their shape.

Once upon a time there was a huge cloud of dust and gas. Soon, the cloud began to collapse and condense, allowing stars to form. Gravity pulled dust and gas together to form individual stars. Ta da that's how it was made, in a simplified version.

The structure of our galaxy contains the nucleus, central bulge, disk, spiral arms, spherical component, and a halo.

A tight cluster is bunched up groups of many old stars. Meanwhile an open cluster contains a few loose group of young stars.

A rock collection. Ok just kidding. Galaxies are a collection of stars and planets held together by gravity.

Spiral- The stars and gas clouds are concentrated in one or more spiral of arms.

Elliptical- This galaxy looks like a stretched out circle. Its stars are dim and old. They don't have swirling arms.

Lens (I think you are referring to barred spiral galaxy)-  This galaxy is pretty much similar to a spiral galaxy except it has a central bar- shaped structure of stars. They have a bulge in the nucleus.

Irregular- A galaxy that doesn't have a shape, it's just all over the place. Most of the stars are fairly young. So it is practically like a bunch of ADHD kids in kindergarten.

The most common shape of galaxies are elliptical.

Our galaxy, the milky way, is a spiral galaxy.

estimated 100 billion galaxies in the universe, and about 100 billion stars per galaxy. (wowie)

I think it is the bulge, you might need to send me the video because I am not sure.

The Milky Way got its name by the Romans who originally called it "<span>via lactea" which means the road of milk. Idk what they were thinking I would've named the galaxy Frank or something.

Energy is used up is not likely to take place.

Well that was a long one, just take this advice, don't do vegetables, stay in drugs, and eat your school. Ok thank you.
