Answer: The social construction of gender comes out of the general school of thought entitled social constructionism. Social constructionism proposes that everything people “know” or see as “reality” is partially, if not entirely, socially situated. To say that something is socially constructed does not mitigate the power of the concept. Take, for example, money. Money is a socially constructed reality. Paper bills are worth nothing independent of the value individuals ascribe to them. The dollar is only worth as much as value as Americans are willing to ascribe to it. Note that the dollar only works in its own currency market; it holds no value in areas that don’t use the dollar. Nevertheless, the dollar is extremely powerful within its own domain.

Gender refers to the characteristics of women, men, girls and boys that are socially constructed. This includes norms, behaviours and roles associated with being a woman, man, girl or boy, as well as relationships with each other. As a social construct, gender varies from society to society and can change over time.

Assoli18 [71]

Answer: B. Appeal to pity

Explanation: Appeal to pity also called appeal to sympathy is a type of fallacious ( the use of invalid or deceptive ideas in the construction of an argument often leading to wrong or deceptive belief) write up or statement which is aimed at exploiting the emotional feelings of it's opponent. Appeal to pity deviates from the truth of the conclusion and aims to exploit the emotional feeling of pity of guilt.

From the statement above, the write up was directed to appeal to the emotions of readers and feel a sense of pity towards Jimmy by bringing to light his travails and deviating from the main point.

I believe the answer is: high approach motivated

People with high approach motivation tend to be really curious, and would always go out of their way to fill up their schedule.
They are much more likely to stay committed in pursuing their interest, but they often possess narrow attention and might ignore everything that does not attract their interest
