Codominance is a situation that occurs when two different alleles are found in the genotype and both are expressed. Multiple alleles or polyalelia occur when genes have more than two allelic forms. In the case of multiple alleles, three or more alleles are present to determine a population trait. Sex-linked inheritance refers to the transmission and expression, in different sexes, of genes that are found in the non-homologous (heterologous) sector of the X chromosome inherited from the father. Two known examples are: hemophilia and color blindness determined by recessive genes in both cases.
