List the ordered pairs and determine whether or not this is a function

Mathematics

The ordered pairs are (1,-1) (1,-2) (2,-3) (2,-4).

This is not a function because in order to be a function, every x value needs to have one and only one y value. You can see here that the x values have two y values, so it is not a function.

The Pelicans won 16 games last year. This year the Pelicans won 20 games. What is the percent increase in the number of games th
barxatty [35]

Answer:

The answer to your question is 25%

Step-by-step explanation:

Data

Number of games won last year= 16

Number of games won this year = 20

Process

1.- Use the number of games won last year as the 100% and use proportions to find the answer.

                              16 games ---------------- 100 %

                               20 games --------------    x

                               x = (20 x 100) / 16

                               x = 2000/16

                               x = 125

2.- Subtract the percent obtain to 100% to obtain the percent increase.

      Percent increase = 125 - 100

                                    = 25%

The dotted lines show how piano wire
stira [4]

Answer:

C. rectangle (not a square)

Step-by-step explanation:

So image that the wire just sliced that piece of the cube right off:

It would give you a triangular prism,

HOWEVER, this is asking for the cross section:

The part of this triangular prism that was actually connected to the cube

and in this case, it would show that the bottom of the cut off part is rectangle.

You can also think of this as: What shape would be left over on the cube?

Cutting this piece off would give you a shape left over that is a rectangle.
