Answer:

C) 34%

The other two samples are-

Gravel- D) 38%

Silt- B) 53%

Explanation:

To find the porosity of the sample, you do (volume of fluid)/(volume of substance) X 100. We were given a 300mL sample of sand, and 400 mL of water. You must also take account of how much surface water is found, which you add to however much water you put into the 300mL sample.

Gravel has the highest permeability, and silt has the lowest.

In a small group of people living in a remote area, there is a high incidence of "blue skin", a condition that results from a va
dem82 [27]

The unusually high frequency of "blue skin" in the area is an example of genetic drift.

Explanation:

It is a shift in the occurrence of an established gene variant within a population due to spontaneous organism screening. The offspring alleles are a composite of those in the parents and opportunity has a role to play in deciding whether or not a given person persists and reproduces.

The bottleneck impact is an interesting instance of genetic drift which take place when the population size is drastically reduced. Occurrences like natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, fires can destroy a city, eliminate most people and leave a tiny, random assortment of survivors remaining.

How did the CT enterography and the technetium scan lead to the correct diagnosis?
madam [21]

Answer: hope it helps..

Explanation: CT enterography is a new non-invasive imaging technique that offers superior small bowel visualisation compared with standard abdomino-pelvic CT, and provides complementary diagnostic information to capsule endoscopy and MRI enterography. CT enterography is well tolerated by patients and enables accurate, efficient assessment of pathology arising from the small bowel wall or surrounding organs. This article reviews the clinical role of CT enterography, and offers practical tips for optimising technique and accurate interpretation.

How do invasive species disrupt an ecosystem? Describe at least one example of when invasive species have disrupted an ecosystem
saul85 [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

I think one of the most invasive species is perhaps the Dandelion. Who hasn't had a fit when we see them change from yellow to gray. The yellow is pretty, but the gray means it is ready to spread its seed to create more trouble.

Dandelions can be killed with herbicides, but I think you'd be as well off putting up with the dandelion. The herbicides have an unproven effect on our health.

The dandelion was introduced into the Americas in the mid 1600s and was used as food and had medical properties. Since then, because it has no common enemy in nature, it has spread the entire width of the continent. Rather amazing, I think.
