Answer:The human body is made up of several organ systems that work together as one unit. In the pyramid of life that organizes all of the elements of life into categories, organ systems are nested between an organism and its organs. Organ systems are the groups of organs that are within an organism.

Ten major organ systems of the human body are listed below along with the major organs or structures that are associated with each system. Each system depends on the others, either directly or indirectly, to keep the body functioning normally.

Explanation:

Circulatory System: The main function of the circulatory system is to transport nutrients and gasses to cells and tissues throughout the body

Digestive System: breaks down food polymers into smaller molecules to provide energy for the body.

Endocrine System regulates vital processes in the body including growth, homeostasis, metabolism, and sexual development. Endocrine organs secrete hormones to regulate body processes

Urinary Excretory System: removes wastes and maintains water balance in the body. Other aspects of its function include regulating electrolytes in body fluids and maintaining normal pH of the blood.

Skeletal System: supports and protects the body while giving it shape and form. The major structures include 206 bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and cartilage.

Respiratory System: provides the body with oxygen via a gas exchange between air from the outside environment and gases in the blood.

Reproductive System: enables the production of offspring through sexual reproduction between a male and female.

Nervous System: monitors and coordinates internal organ function and responds to changes in the external environment.

Muscular System: enables movement through the contraction of muscles. Humans have three types of muscles: heart muscle, smooth muscle, and skeletal muscles.

Integumentary System: protects the internal structures of the body from damage, prevents dehydration, stores fat, and produces vitamins and hormones. The structures that support the integumentary system include skin, nails, hair, and sweat glands.

How does wet and dry barometer work?? Thnx
tatiyna

Wet barometer - The tool works by measuring atmospheric pressure to predict incoming weather. Since the glass is only filled halfway with water, the other half is exposed to the atmosphere. When the outdoor atmospheric pressure rises, the pressure in the glass decreases, and causes the water to move down the spout.

Dry barometer - A Torricellian barometer (sometimes called a mercury barometer) is an inverted (upside-down) glass tube standing in a bath of mercury. Air pressure pushes down on the surface of the mercury, making some rise up the tube. The greater the air pressure, the higher the mercury rises.

I hope this helps!

Plants use carbohydrates to build things such as cellulose. How do plants acquire these building blocks to build mass?
AlekseyPX

Answer:

Photosynthetic process

Explanation:

Cellulose, a tough, fibrous and water-insoluble polysaccharide in the cell walls of plants. It is the most abundant organic macromolecule on Earth and also the main component of a plants structure, conferring rigidity on the plants' cells.

Cellulose chains are arranged in microfibrils or bundles of polysaccharides arranged in fibrils which in turn make up the plant cell wall.

All plants are made up of polysaccharides, a very large sugar molecule made of hundreds or thousands of single sugar units (monosaccharide). Cellulose is composed of a long chain of at least 500 glucose molecules joined together by B-1,4- linkages.

Green plants create this simple sugar molecules (glucose) on their own through the process of photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the chemical combination or fixation of C02 and water by the utilization of energy from the absorption of visible light. This glucose produced is a building carbohydrate that combines with other sugars to form the plant structure (as they make up part of cellulose) and store energy.

7. What is the kinetic energy of a 3-kilogram ball that is rolling at 2 meters per second?
nydimaria [60]
Kinetic energy = 0.5*M*V^2

 Q7-

0.5*3*(2^2)= 6J

Q8a-

0.5*2*(2^2)= 4J
0.5*4*(3^2)=18J
the second ball has more kinetic energy.

Q8b-

at the max height, all the kinetic energy is converted to potential energy,

gravitational potential energy is = M*g*h

that theory would apply if you wanted to work out the maximum height achieved if the balls were thrown upward by rearranging. But, we are simply working out which ball will have more potential energy so:

First ball:
2kg*9.81(g)*10m = 196.2J

Second ball
4kg*9.81*10m= 392.4J

The second ball has more potential energy

which type of cell division (mitosis v meiosis) increases the likelihood of variation with a species? explain how it happens?
kipiarov [429]
Meiosis Bc it is genetic variation and ends with 4 cells with a completely different genetic make up whole mitosis is the cell division of identical cells. It ends with two daughter cells.
