Answer:

  v₂ = 2,665 m / s

Explanation:

This is an exercise of conservation of the momentum, we define a system formed by the two cars, so that the forces during the collision are internal and the moment is conserved.

Initial instant. Before the crash

           p₀ = m v_o

Final moment. Right after the crash

           p_f = m v₁ + M v₂

where the first car uses subscript 1 and has a mass m = 1 kg and the second car uses the subscript 2 with a mass M = 2kg

how the moment is preserved

        p₀ = p_f

         m v_o = m v₁ + M v₂

They indicate that the collision is elastic, therefore the kinetic energy is conserved, the velocity of the first car is v1 = -1.33 me / S

         v₂ = \frac{ m ( v_o - v_1)}{M}

we calculate

        v₂ = \frac{ 1 ( 4 + 1.33)}{2}

        v₂ = 2,665 m / s

Calculate how far ahead of the drop zone a pilot would have needed to drop humanitarian aid packages if the delivery occurred at
ozzi

Answer:

S = 11488.42 m

Explanation:

Given,

The speed of the jet, v = 0.74 Mach

                                     = 253.82 m/s

The altitude of the jet, h = 10000 m

Since the jet is travelling horizontally, the vertical component of velocity Vy = 0

The equation for a projectile projected from a height h is given by,

                                  S = Vx [Vy + √(Vy² +2gh)] / g

Since Vy = 0

                                   S = Vx √(Vy² +2gh) / g

                                       = 253.82 x √(2 x 9.8 x 10000) / 9.8

                                       = 11488.42 m

Hence, the humanitarian aid package should be delivered ahead of distance, S = 11488.42 m

What's drude and Lorenz theory?
denis23 [38]

Answer:

When an electric field is established across the metallic solid, the free electrons are accelerated. ... Thus, an electron acquires additional non-random velocity opposite to direction of field. This velocity is responsible for transport of electrons in conductors.
