I’m not rlly sure if i did it right & i’m sorry if i didn’t. i used the FOIL method
f= first to first
o=outer to outer
i=inner to inner
l= last to last
so it’d be
8b + 6b = 14b (f)
8b+ 8=16b(o)
-7+6b=-1b(i)
-7+8(l)
and then you add like terms so
[14b+16b-1b]+1
= 29b+1

The scale factor is:
6,75/4,5 = 9/6 = 1,5

So you divide the corresponding lengths and the ratio you get is the scale factor. Hope it helps!

Alex gets paid $2.25 a tree for tree planting up north. In one week, he planted 437 trees. What is his wage?
Amiraneli [1.4K]

Answer:

Hey Beebzie

Dang he part of 20m trees? And is Alex a he or she, we'll never know, so I'll just refer to Alex as "it" to not gender appropriate anyone.

So it gets paid 2.25 for one tree. It planted 437 tress.

We take 2.25 x 437 to know the amount of money earned for all trees it planted.

The answer is $983.25, or A. I don't want to gender appropriate the letter "A" either because it could be option 1 or a different letter so I'll just say the answer again to not be sexist, $983.25

Michelle draws a card from a standard deck of 52 cards. She replaces the card and draws a second card. What is the probability t
erma4kov [3.2K]
To draw a heart, one would be choosing 1 card of 13 possible hearts, and 0 from the remaining 39 non-hearts. With respect to the entire deck, one would be choosing 1 card from 52 total cards. So the probability of drawing a heart is

\dfrac{\dbinom{13}1\cdot\dbinom{39}0}{\dbinom{52}1}=\dfrac{13\cdot1}{52}=\dfrac14

When Michelle replaces the card, the deck returns the normal, so the probability of drawing any card from a given suit is the same, \dfrac14. In other words, drawing a spade is independent of having drawn the heart first.

So the probability of drawing a heart, replacing it, then drawing a spade is \dfrac14\cdot\dfrac14=\dfrac1{16}.
