Answer:

Its a substitution mutation because one of the specific base, G is replaced by A.

This is a Point Mutation because Point mutation brings changes in the structure of a gene because of the substitutions with another base pair. Like in this case, G is substituted by A. In case of frameshift mutations, there is a change in the number of nucleotides due to either insertions or deletions of the nucleotides, which is not in this case.

Slippery?(of a frog)
4 answer choices-chromatophore
mucus
nare
nictitating membrane
Yuliya22 [10]

Answer:

Its mucus

Explanation:

Mucus is what makes a frog feel slippery or slimy. Frogs don't drink water, instead they absorb it through their skin. Frogs also use their skin to breathe. A layer of mucus on the skin helps keep moisture trapped next to it, and this moisture transfers oxygen into the frog's body.

scoray [572]

The correct answer is option D, None of the choice.

Prokaryotes like Escherichia coli are used in drug production. Rhizobium bacteria (prokaryotes) in the soil, form symbiotic relationship with the roots of the plant to fix nitrogen. And prokaryotes are measured in terms of colony-forming units (CFU) of bacteria to produce nutritious yoghurt.

Hi everyone
professor190 [17]

Amino acids are acids on one hand, and a base on the other hand.

What is an acid?

An acid is a substance that produces hydrogen or hydroxonium ions as the only positively charged ion when it ionizes.

All amino acids have an amine group -NH_2 and a carboxylic group -COOH.

The carboxylic group ionizes such that:

COOH -- > COO^- + H^+

The presence of the amine group enables amino acids to also act as a base.
