podryga [215]

Psychological perspective Dr. Spiegelman is applying is (c) cognitive/behavioral perspective.

The goal of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), a type of psychotherapy, is to alter dysfunctional emotions, actions, and thoughts by challenging and eradicating false or unjustified beliefs. CBT is a type of talk therapy that is seen as being "solutions-oriented" and is predicated on the notion that thoughts and perceptions affect behaviour.

In some situations, being upset might cause one's view of reality to be distorted. The goal of CBT is to recognize negative ideas, determine if they accurately reflect reality, and, if not, use techniques to confront and eliminate them.

Explain and describe the potential for conflict between the executive branch and the Senate over appointments such as cabinet me
Salsk061 [2.6K]

The type of executive branch nominations, including those for Cabinet members, ambassadors, and White House personnel, will determine if there will be a clash with the Senate.

Potential for Conflict with Senate

 • Although Senate confirmation serves as a crucial check on the president's appointment authority, life-tenured judicial nominations have the capacity to have a lasting impact.
 • The president's policy ambitions and executive actions frequently clash with the goals of Congress.
 • With life-tenured judicial appointments, such as Supreme Court justices, the stakes are extremely high because the president has the chance to continue to have influence even after taking office. In contrast, White House staff posts are frequently more simpler to fill and do not require Senate confirmation.
 • To accomplish policy objectives, the president uses executive orders and policy initiatives, both of which have the potential to escalate tensions with Congress. Because presidential orders can be used to make laws without the consent or input of Congress.

How did the overall world economy change immediately after World War I?
WARRIOR [948]

The outbreak of the war in August 1914 produced immediate changes. It is often said that war is the 'locomotive of history' - that is what drives it along. Certainly the First World War helped to produce major changes in British government, society, the economy and industrial relations. The war produced political turmoil. In 1915 Prime Minister Asquith formed a coalition government, and the following year he was replaced as premier by Lloyd George, who gave a new impetus to the direction of the war. He believed in greater state intervention built upon the abandonment of laissez faire. The powers of the state had grown enormously. A form of 'war socialism' had been introduced. New ministries were set up, and at the end of the war, several of these (pensions, health and labour) became permanent institutions of the state.
