In fact once they get into office then they arguably have to work harder because he can't let the people that voted for him down. They work, work, work and that affects their mental health and their physical health. They also have to not only work hard to please the people that voted for them they have to deal with the people that didn't vote for them. Politian's are some of the most hard working people on the planet. All in all, it affects them a lot.
