Find the area of all the separate figures and add them together
area of rectangle = length x width
11 x 3 = 33 ft
area of square = a^2
3^2 = 9ft
area of triangle = base x height over 2
11 x 3 = 33
33 over 2 = 16.5 ft
33 + 9 + 16.5 = 58.5 ft ^ 2

Use this graph of velocity vs. time for two objects to answer the question.
Lynna [10]

Using derivatives, it is found that the correct option is:

A. Object C has an acceleration that is greater than the acceleration for D.

The acceleration is the derivative of the velocity, given by change in velocity divided by change in time, that is:

a = \frac{\Delta_v}{\Delta_t}

In this problem:

 • The change in time for objects C and T is the same.
 • The change in velocity for object C is greater, thus, it has a greater acceleration, and the correct option is:

A. Object C has an acceleration that is greater than the acceleration for D.

If A > B and C > D, then A + C > B + D.
steposvetlana [31]
The answer is Always true. because A is greater than B so put it this way if A=2 and B =1 then 2>1 same goes for C>D so if A+C would have to be greater than B+D for instance 2+2>1+1 or 4>2 so
If A>B and C>D, then A+C>B+D Always true.

Which numbers are 9 units from −5 on this number line?
ExtremeBDS [4]

Using the number line, the numbers that are 9 units from -5 are: -14 and 4.

How to Locate a Number on a Number line?

To find two numbers that cover the same units from a given point on a number line, we can simply do the following:

 • Count the number of units given backwards/to the left from the point stated to get the first number.
 • Count the number of units given forwards/to the right from the point stated to get the second number.

Thus, we are asked to find the numbers that would be 9 units from -5, using the number line.

Count 9 units backwards/to the left from -5 to get the first number, which is: -14

Count 9 units forwards/to the right from the -5 to get the second number, which is: 4.

Therefore, the numbers that are 9 units from -5 on the number line, are: -14 and 4.

Solve for x.

x = 5°
x = 18°
x = 30°
x = 36°
sergij07 [2.7K]

Answer:

x=36

Step-by-step explanation:

The 2 angles, ∠EAF and ∠FAB are on a straight line. This means they are supplementary, and add to 180 degrees.

So,

∠EAF +∠FAB =180

We know that ∠EAF is 3x and ∠FAB is 2x, so we can substitute them in

3x+2x=180

Combine like terms

5x=180

Divide by 5 on both sides

x=36

So, x=36 degrees, or the last choice
