Answer:

pen = $1.20,  pencil = $0.50

Step-by-step explanation:

let x = pen

let y = pencil

create system of equations:

3x + 6y = 6.60        [can be simplified to be x + 2y = 2.20]

5x + 8y = 10.00

substitution method:

x = 2.2 - 2y

5(2.2 - 2y) + 8y = 10

11 - 10y + 8y = 10

-2y = -1

y = 1/2

solve for 'x':

3x + 6(1/2) = 6.6

3x + 3 = 6.6

3x = 3.6

x = 1.2

Try this solution:

1. for probability of both televisions work:

P_{2w}=\frac{C^2_8}{C^2_{10}}=\frac{7*8}{9*10}=0.6(2)

2. for probability of at least on is defective (it means, the sum = one is defective and two are defective):

P_{1d}=\frac{C^1_2C^1_8}{C^2_{10}}=\frac{4*8}{9*10}=0.3(5) - for P(1defective);

P_{2d}=\frac{C^2_2}{C^2_{10}}=\frac{2}{9*10}=0.0(2) - for P(2defective);

totaly for at least one is defective:

P_{at \ least \ 1 \ d}=P_{1d}+P_{2d}=\frac{16}{45} +\frac{1}{45} =0.3(7)

IL<br> 8x-9<br> 5x-3<br> What’s x
shepuryov [24]

Step-by-step explanation:

8x-9=5x-3

Move any equation to the opposite side. I'll use the left this time

8x - 8x - 9 + 9 = 5x - 8x - 3 + 9

0 =  - 3x  + 6

move 6 to opp side

- 3x =  - 6

\frac{ - 6 =  - 3x}{ - 3}

x = 2

What is the equation of the circle with center (-3.2, -2.1) and radius 4.3?
Ilya [14]

The equation of the circle is :  x^{2} + y^{2} + 6.4x + 4.2y = 3.84

<h3>Meaning of a Circle</h3>

A circle is a loci or a continuous line that equidistant from the center to any point on the line. it drawn starting from a point and ending on that same  point.

The equation of a circle is an equation used to find points on a circle so the circle can be drawn with accurate measurement. it can also be used to find the missing points.

In conclusion, The equation of the circle is :  x^{2} + y^{2} + 6.4x + 4.2y = 3.84
