Answer:

1.) 36m        2.) 275cm

3.) 52m       4.)

Step-by-step explanation:

1.) First, I would multiply the triangles. The area for triangles is A=BxH/2.

So you would do 4mx3m=12m

12m/2= 6m but you're not done, you still have the rectangle. The area is A=LXW for the rectangle. So you would do 5m x 6m=30m. Finally, add.      30m + 6m= 36m

2.) Same thing as number one, but different numbers.

Triangle: 8cm x 10cm= 80cm

80cm/2= 40cm

Rectangle: 13cm x 15cm= 195cm

80cm + 195cm= 275cm

3.) Same as the last two except for it looks different and different numbers.

ignore the 5 to the left of the triangle.

3m x 8m= 24m

24m/2= 12m

5m x 9m= 40m

40m+12m= 52m

4.) I want you to try it first, then if not come back and ask. Hope it helps.

Three packages of pens and one box of paper cost $26. Two packages of pens and 7 boxes of paper cost $49. How much does one box
algol13

Answer:

5 dollars

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's call the price of a package of pens n, and the cost of a box of paper r.

3n+r=26

2n+7r=49

Multiply the first equation by 7:

21n+7r=182

Subtract the second equation from the first:

19n=133

Divide both sides by 19 to isolate n:

n=7

Plug this back in to find the value of a box of paper:

3(7)+r=26

21+r=26

r=5

Hope this helps!

In Neil's city, the temperature is 72.6 degrees and is rising 1.3 degrees each hour. In Sheppard's city, the temperature is 80.4
klio [65]

Answer:

2.5 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that :

Temperature in Neil's city :

72.6° and rising by 1.3° per hour

Temperature in Sheppard's city :

80.4° and dropping by 1.82° per hour

In how many hours will the temperature in Neil's city be no less than the temperature in Sheppard's city

Let number of hours = h

Hence, Neil city :

72.6 + 1.3h

Sheppard city:

80.4 - 1.82h

72.6 + 1.3h ≥ 80.4 - 1.82h

1.3h + 1.82h ≥ 80.4 - 72.6

3.12h ≥ 7.8

h ≥ 2.5

What quadratic function does the graph represent?
nekit [7.7K]

Answer:

f(x)=-\frac{1}{3}(x-2)^2+4,

Step-by-step explanation:

The function of the graph can be written in the vertex form as

f(x)=a(x-h)^2+k, where V(h,k)=V(2,4) is the vertex of the quadratic function.

We substitute the value to obtain;

f(x)=a(x-2)^2+4,

The point (5,1) lies on the graph so we use it to determine the value of a.

1=a(5-2)^2+4,

1-4=a(3)^2,

-3=9a,

a=-\frac{1}{3}

The required equation is

f(x)=-\frac{1}{3}(x-2)^2+4,
