The benefits received from an individual disability insurance policy is not subject to federal income tax.

From what I've read in various online articles, individual disability income insurance benefits are tax free because you have already paid for tax. The premiums you pay are from after-tax dollars. This means that taxes required on insurance disability benefits have already been paid prior to the benefits given.

Advertising expenses are a significant component of the cost of goods sold. Listed below is a frequency distribution showing the
natali 33 [55]

Answer:

\bar X= 49.41 represent the sample mean

s= 11.45 represent the sample deviation

n = 68 represent the sample size

Since the sample size is large enough n>30 we have enough evidence to conclude that the normal approximation for the sample mean makes sense. And the distribution for the sample mean would be given by:

\bar X \sim N(\mu, \frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}})

Explanation:

Previous concepts

Normal distribution, is a "probability distribution that is symmetric about the mean, showing that data near the mean are more frequent in occurrence than data far from the mean".

The central limit theorem states that "if we have a population with mean μ and standard deviation σ and take sufficiently large random samples from the population with replacement, then the distribution of the sample means will be approximately normally distributed. This will hold true regardless of whether the source population is normal or skewed, provided the sample size is sufficiently large".

Solution to the problem

For this case we have the following data given:

\bar X= 49.41 represent the sample mean

s= 11.45 represent the sample deviation

n = 68 represent the sample size

Since the sample size is large enough n>30 we have enough evidence to conclude that the normal approximation for the sample mean makes sense. And the distribution for the sample mean would be given by:

\bar X \sim N(\mu, \frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}})

As of January 1 of the current year, Kane owned all the 100 issued shares of Manning Corp., a calendar
aliina [53]

Answer:

A) $56,750

Explanation:

Since Manning's ownership changed during the year, it must allocate income differently for the first 40 days than the remaining 325.

Kane should report the following income:

 • 100% income form Manning x 40/365 = $73,000 x 40/365 = $8,000
 • 75% income from Manning x 325/365 = $73,000 x 75% x 325/365 = $48,750
 • total income allocated to Kane = $8,000 + $48,750 = $56,750

Households and firms with savings lend money to banks and other financial institutions. The credit supply curve shows the relati
rosijanka [135]

Answer:higher real interest rate discourages current consumption and higher real interest rate encourages more saving.

Explanation:The supply curve is a graphic representation of the correlation between the cost of a good or service and the quantity supplied for a given period. In a typical illustration, the price will appear on the left vertical axis, while the quantity supplied will appear on the horizontal axis.

Our measure of credit demand is an indicator variable for a firm's need for bank loans decreasing during the period. We measure credit supply using information on whether a firm's loan application was rejected, or the firm received less than 75% of its desired amount.

Credit supply curve is a curve that plots the quantity of credit supplied at different real interest rates.

Xelga [282]

Answer:

The resulting rise in unemployment is mostly a rise in __cyclical____ unemployment because it is related to the state of the economy.

Explanation:

Frictional unemployment occurs as a result of workers' search for or transition to new jobs. It is brief and does not leave a mark on the economy. Structural unemployment comes about when the skills of workers do not match the requirements of employers. Therefore, workers require retraining and reskilling. Cyclical unemployment relates to the macro-economic situation that is prevailing during periods of recession.
