Answer:

if JK is tangent that means it creates 90° with X that is the ray of the circonference.

to find X first you have to find L and to do so you use the inverse of pythagorean theorem cause you have the hypotenouse :

sqr( 25^2-1^2) = 24.97

now divide by 2 and you have 12.49

What is the equation of a line that passes
OleMash [197]

Answer:y=9.5x-0.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Ok, so you need to use the equation y2-y1/x2-x1 to find the slope. So (18.5-4.25)/(2-0.5) so 14.25/1.5 , calculate that and you get 9.5 which is your slope, apply that to the slope formula which is y=mx+b where (m) is slope and (b) is y intercept and you get y=9.5x-0.5

A lamina with constant density rho(x, y) = rho occupies the given region. Find the moments of inertia Ix and Iy and the radii of
jenyasd209 [6]

Answer:

Ix = Iy = \frac{ρπR^{4} }{16}

Radius of gyration x = y =  \frac{R}{4}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: A lamina with constant density ρ(x, y) = ρ occupies the given region x2 + y2 ≤ a2 in the first quadrant.

Mass of disk = ρπR2

Moment of inertia about its perpendicular axis is \frac{MR^{2} }{2}. Moment of inertia of quarter disk about its perpendicular is \frac{MR^{2} }{8}.

Now using perpendicular axis theorem, Ix = Iy = \frac{MR^{2} }{16} = \frac{ρπR^{4} }{16}.

For Radius of gyration K, equate MK2 = MR2/16, K= R/4.
