At 9:00, Paula has x cups of food in a container for her dog. Paula pours a 2 1/2 cup box of food into the container. Then she r

emoves 3/4 cup of food to feed her dog. Now there are 5 1/4 cups of food in the container.
write an equation that can be used to determine the number of cups, x, of food in the container at 9:00?

Which equation can be used to determine the number of cups of food, x, in the container at 9:00?

A.5 1/4 = x + 212 + 34
B.5 1/4 = x − 212 + 34
C.5 1/4 = x + 212 − 34
D.5 1/4 = x − 212 −34

Answer:

c correct me if wrong though.

Step-by-step explanation:

c is 5 1/4 = x + 2 1/2 − 3/4 [ but if it is actually 212 and 34, then none of them are right. i'm just putting the division sign where i thought it should be coming off from the problem. ]

the reason why i said c is because on how it adds 2 and 1/2 cups INTO the container, meaning that there will be x + 2 1/2 amount of food in the container. then, REMOVING 3/4 cups out of the container would mean that we have to subtract it. so −3/4.

feel free to correct me if needed.

Need help with these two questions
WITCHER [35]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Answer:(A)= (-x^11)/(y^7)

(B)= (1/12xy^5)

Step-by-step explanation:

(A) (3x^3y^-2)(-2x^-3y^2)^-5/(6x^7y^-5)

[(3x^3y^-2)(-2x^15y^-10)]/(6x^7y^-5)

(6x^18y^5)/(-6x^7y^12)

(-6x^11)/(6y^7)

(-x^11)/(y^7)

(B) [(12x^-3y^5)/(x^-4)]^-1

(1/12xy^5)

A fly trapped inside a cubical box with side length 1 meter decides to relieve its boredom by visiting each corner of the box. I
Lelu [443]

Answer:

(4 √ 3 + 4 √2 ) m

Step-by-step explanation:

The insect can travel from one corner directly to opposite corner in four different ways

each can be calculated using Pythagoras theorem

firstly for one face we need to calculate the diagonal

H² = 1² + 1² = 2

H = √2

then we calculate the diagonal opposite a corner

for example

A to H where A is at the bottom and H opposite A in another plane at the top in the cubical box

(Interior diagonal for A to H)² = √2² + 1² = 3

Interior diagonal from A to H = √ 3

there are four such corners, the fly will travel 4 √ 3 and it could also go 4 √2 diagonally to the the other corners

maximum possible length in meters = (4 √ 3 + 4 √2 ) m

Express the given logarithmic expression as a single logarithm.
Ganezh [65]
Using the laws of logarithms, we get:5\ ln(x)+2\ ln(y)=ln(x)^{5}+ln(y)^{2}=ln( x^{5}y^{2})
The answer is a.
